Heaven for the Hungry: A Banapple Review - Bannaple Bestseller

I’ve been itching to write a review about Banapple for a long time already. I’ve tried eating at Banapple for several times and each time I have always had a great dining experience. I wasn’t able to get pictures the previous times though, hence the late review of this awesome food establishment. If you’re looking for good food at a good place with a very reasonable pricing, Banapple should definitely be in your list.

I just learned that "Banapple" came from the names of two of their best-selling desserts - the Banoffee Pie and Apple Caramel Crumble Pie. The name alone already makes me hungry. My friends and I decided to go all the way to Katipunan from Ortigas after work because we were getting tired of the usual food we’ve been having around the area. We went to the bigger branch in Katipunan (there are two branches in Katips) and surprisingly, there are still several unoccupied tables, given that we went there around dinnertime. We were also able to get a good parking spot right away with the help of their parking attendant, so it wasn’t long before we were getting our orders and enjoying our meals.

If you’re at Banapple for lunch or dinner you better get one of their entrees, which are all served with seasoned garlic rice. Their bestsellers and must-try entrees are the “Hickory Smoked Barbecue Country Ribs” and the “Chicken Breast Parmigiano”, both at only Php 185.00 each. I’m telling you, this price is very reasonable given that one order of each of these is already good enough for two people. I can hardly finish my order and I have to share it with my friends! The taste is also two-thumbs up. The Hickory ribs are so soft and tender the meat easily goes off the bones. The chicken parmigiano on the other hand goes so well with the sauce, I had to ask for more from my friend who ordered one. The seasoned rice also tastes great; I’ve had several spoonfuls on its own.
Hickory Smoked Barbecue Country Ribs. My personal favorite.

For the pastas, the ones I loved the best are the “Lasagna roll-ups” (php 180.00) and the “Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne” (Php 185.00), which are both equally good and satisfying as the entrée bestsellers. These are also given to you at very generous servings so these are good for sharing with a friend.

And of course, Banapple is so well known for their desserts. Their best-selling dessert is the Banoffee Pie. Definitely the best Banoffee pie I’ve tried so far. Another must-try dessert is the Apple Caramel Crumble Pie.

Banoffee Pie. I wasn't able to get a very good picture but trust me, once you start eating, you're gonna ask for more.

Just look at all that dessert! This is heaven!
The place also feels very homey with the colorful motif and creative decorations on the walls. It’s small but still comfortable. The fun and bright atmosphere adds to the wonderful dining experience. If you’re visiting the Katipunan branches though like we did, bringing a car might not be the best idea because of the very limited parking space. You may also have to wait for a table for a short while on peak hours so it would be a good idea to call them first for a reservation.
