UnliMEATed: A "Kazam Kebab House" Review

Better get your jaws ready for some tough chewing action with this one.

Along the foodie heaven that is Maginhawa Street is the Persian food establishment called Kazam Kebab House. It may not look much on first look given that it’s smaller than its neighbour restaurants, but one thing about it will surely get your attention – Unlimited. Shawarma.

The only times that I get to have unlimited Middle-Eastern food is on buffets, so my foodie-sense tingled when I learned of Kazam’s unlimited roasted meats.

At Php 199.00 per person, you’d get to enjoy as much shawarma as you can. The best part is you can avail them on hours when you’re most likely going to be hungry – from 12nn to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm.

Makes me want to scoop out all that meat! Unlimited Shawarma for just Php 199.00
What I loved about Kazam’s shawarma was that the meat was tender, unlike the usual shawarma I know that’s a bit too chewy for my taste. Each serving was also generous of beef, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers, considering the fact that you’ll get to have an unlimited serving of these. In terms of taste though, it tasted just like your regular shawarma - nothing out of the ordinary or unique.

All these (and more) just for me and my buddy
Other than the usual beef and chicken wraps (Php 65.00), Kazam’s got a wide array of Persian dishes to choose from. Their bestsellers are the Chelo Kebab Specials so these are what you should try on first visit. I got the Chelo Chicken and Beef Combo (Php190.00) to get to try both meats. We also asked for their Shawarma Rice (Php 75.00) since this has got to be one of the staples of Shawarma restos. I was disappointed that the rice wasn’t Java, but the butter on top of the white rice did the trick.

They're serious about the bottomless iced tea. They give them to by the pitcher! Powdered though, not brewed.
When it comes to taste, Kazam is no different from the other shawarma shacks I’ve already tried. But if you’re a hardcore shawarma lover, you might love it here where you can have all the shawarma wraps you can handle.
