Meet the Heroes: Big Hero 6 Trailer and Character Posters

It’s Marvel and Disney making a superhero movie! Tell me why you wouldn’t be interested?

“From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes "Big Hero 6," an action comedy adventure about brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city.”

Check out Big Hero 6’ trailer below. With Fall Out Boy blasting Light Em Up in the background, this movie feels like it’s pumping awesome!

Directors Don Hall and Chris Williams also disclosed some details to USA Today about the titular 6. The character posters themselves are also screaming with coolness. Check ‘em out below:

Hiro Hamada

The half-Japanese, half-caucasian teenage genius who built a battle gear for his nursing robot, Baymax. Hiro also has his own suit that magnetically attaches itself to Baymax so they can work as a tag team.

Baymax

Hiros’ nurse-robot who he suits up to help fight the bad guys threatening San Fransokyo. This adorable robot is filled with air like a balloon, and has to be recharged so he won’t deflate.

Fred

He’s your typical comic book nerd who’s a huge fan of monster movies. He calls his monster-like suit “Fredzilla”, and "can jump really high, and he breathes wicked fire out of that mouth."

Go Go Tomago – Go Go is an industriyal engineering student who developed a bike with magnetic-levitation technology. Hiro incorporates this technology to Go Go’s suit, giving her levitating discs which she can use as weapons to throw at the bad guys.

Honey Lemon

Honey is the sweetest girl among the bunch. I’m guessing that being a chemistry student is where she’s getting her superhero specialty.

Wasabi

This guy’s got plasma-induced lasers that can cut through anything coming out of his arms. Looks like Wasabi is in charge of the slicing and dicing!

Big Hero 6 also features a nice voice cast, with Damon Wayans Jr., Jamie Chung, T.J. Miller, Maya Rudolph, Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, and Genesis Rodriguez as the superhero leads. Big Hero 6 is set to be released on November 2014.
