Geoffreview on Pop Talk: Capitol Commons Episode Snippet

January 17, 2015 was extra special because that’s the day when the Capitol Commons episode of Pop Talk, where I was guest reviewer, aired on GMA News TV. Well, too special to the point of being a bit embarrassing given that my friends prepared a viewing party for me and my relatives gave me a few phone calls out of excitement. Oh well, it’s not every day that I see myself on TV.

As mentioned in my earlier post, it was a fun shoot where we had a food crawl at Capitol Commons, visiting 3 of the most popular restaurants in the area – Sentro 1771, Café Mediterranean, and Nomama Ramen. You can view a quick snippet of our Sentro 1771 experience below:

All the dishes we tasted were so good that we all ended up with full tummies at the end of the day. In the end, it was a unanimous vote for all three guest reviewers – Sentro 1771 was the favorite.

Thing is, there are some other good restaurants in Capitol Commons, and I can tell that the place has the potential of being the next Maginhawa or Kapitolyo. Other notable restaurants that I’ve added to my list are Black Olive (which I’ve visited before) and Tipsy Pig. I can feel a Capitol Commons foodtrip brewing soon.
